ABLEnow, a national tax-advantaged savings program for people with disabilities, is an inaugural sponsor of PBS KIDS’ newest animated television series, CARL THE COLLECTOR. This groundbreaking series is the first on PBS KIDS to feature central characters on the autism spectrum. It premieres November 14, 2024, on PBS KIDS.

CARL THE COLLECTOR on PBS Kids follows the everyday adventures of Carl, an autistic raccoon who has a passion for collecting. The show promotes empathy and inclusivity by featuring neurodiverse characters who approach challenges differently. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the new series.

“Sponsoring this PBS KIDS series is a perfect fit for ABLEnow," said Mary Morris, CEO of Commonwealth Savers, the organization that administers the national ABLEnow program. “CARL THE COLLECTOR and ABLEnow both champion an inclusive society where everyone has the tools to thrive and is celebrated for their unique contributions. Through this sponsorship, we hope to introduce families to ABLEnow, empowering even more individuals to save and invest for the future.”

CARL THE COLLECTOR brings together a production team of neurodiverse writers, advisors, and voice talent, supported by a panel of experts in psychology, education, and child development. Digital resources for kids, families, and teachers reinforce the core messages of self-discovery and identity as well as recognizing and encouraging empathy for the many ways people think and behave.

Starting November 14, 2024, families can check their local PBS KIDS listings for CARL THE COLLECTOR and stream the series for free! The free PBS KIDS Games app will also include educational CARL THE COLLECTOR games.

The six-month sponsorship includes ABLEnow spots airing with episodes of CARL THE COLLECTOR on PBS KIDS. Viewers are encouraged to learn more at ABLEnow.com.
